People spend more and more time traveling - statistically speaking, almost an hour a day. Time, one of the most valuable resources, can be wasted or used in a fun and useful way in a positive environment. The goal of the project is to encourage the community in the capital area to use the City Line in Reykjavík as a faster, more practical and environmentally friendly alternative to the car by creating a friendly and diverse environment, during an exciting journey. The proposal consists of creating a strong overall concept for the BRT stations for the future City Line in the capital area, which will contribute to a much better and more holistic atmosphere with increased quality in the built environment. The design must fulfill practical, simpler solutions, become a strong and attractive landmark, having artistic value that points the way to a green future. With this as guidelines, it is imagined that users will enjoy traveling by public transport in the future. The design will have flexibility in implementation and will fit well into the overall appearance of the existing traffic system and be in harmony with nature and the urban environment. The street furniture will be a feature of the City Line and meet the requirements for a universal design that will lead to everyone being able to use public transport as an social and ecological means of travel in the capital area in a safe journey.
